HBF, in collaboration with the non-profit organization Global Leadership Outreach, presents GLO for Chile, a benefit to support Chile in the aftermath of the earthquakes that hit in early 2010.

GLO for Chile will take place on Friday, April 16, 2010 at the Long Branch Community Center, 8700 Piney Branch Road, Silver Spring, MD. All are welcome to join us for socializing and a silent auction; later in the evening GLO turns into a dance club night for high school students* emceed by Pretty Boi Mo with music by DJ Uncensored and DJ Los “El Genio.”

Wal-Mart awarded a grant to the Foundation to support its Partnership Youth Initiative, a program that provides mentored internship opportunities for minority high school students, in an effort to decrease the drop out rates for Hispanic students in Maryland.  Julio Parra, CEO of Parra Inc., and the Chair of the Hispanic Business Foundation, was happy to accept the award (pictured) on April 2, 2009.
